During recent times, companies have been interested in changing the way that they approach and do business. Digital methods and practices has become the new model. Using Digital technologies a company is able to stay on top of their knowledge base and reinvent the way they deal with their  clients.

New communication methods such as web sites, cdrom's, electronic commerce, and intranets afford the forward thinking company the opportunity to get out ahead of their competition (if they act quickly) and stay ahead. The Digital Age is here and the time to take advantage of it is NOW....

The way we approach the transition to Digital Methods and Practices (DMP) is to make the transition as smooth as possible for our clients. We have been doing this for a few years now and have encountered a lot of the seemingly insurmountable roadblocks which were eventually overcome and procedures put in place.

WebSights Inc wants to bring your company into the Digital Age and give you the Digital Advantage. Let's work together to begin the transition today.

  Procedure

        typical procedure:
  • determining goals within your budget
  • sitting down with those involved to discuss your needs as far as advertising your goods or services on the web.
  • laying out the proposed www pages that will comprise your site.
  • gathering of any graphics, audio and copy that need to be included in the site.
  • conversion of approved site layout to HTML.
  • construction of the site locally (on our machines).
  • investigation of servers to determine which one would be appropriate for your situation and budget .
  • loading of all content on the selected server.
  • troubleshooting the site to make sure it runs correctly.
  • monthly maintenance is available at an additional charge.

a. The Requirements Phase:

During this phase the requirements for the project are clarified and mapped out by our team and the client so that all concerned are aware of the expectations and responsibilities of each other in regards to the project. ( sort of 'scraping' the house before you paint it....in other words someone would be responsible for designing the site graphics, layout and navigation scheme.... someone else would be responsible for the tech info gathering..... someone else the information mapping of the different chunks of info for each section and defining the element to which it will be attached..... someone else the backend database programming etc.......)

Even more specific would be the description of responsibilities ( e.g. the navigation scheme would be such that a user would never have to drill downmore than 3 pages to get to any info.... or the general structure of the site shall consist of a frames based layout.... or the backgrounds of all the pages shall be white etc......)

If needed an actual "Requirements" document could be generated with all of the specifics of the project mapped out.

b. The Design Phase

During this phase we would do the actual design of the elements needed to build the site. Prototypes would be submitted periodically for evaluation by the team and revisions performed accordingly. The design elements will be signed off on as they are completed to the satisfaction of the client. When all is approved by the client, the site will be submitted for delivery.
